Time Entry Day View With Start Time & End Time
Time Entry Day View With Start Time & End Time TimeLive allow you to use two types of time entry mode.  One is standard with total time and second is with start time and end time which can be configure using TimeLive application preferences.

TimeLive supports two time entry mode.  One is day view and one is week view.  All approved time entries displayed as read-only in time entry views.

Day view also show employee attendance which can be off using timelive role based permission.

Users are required to click o [Submit] button to submit their records for approval.  Only submitted records will be available in all types of reports.

TimeLive show projects in time entry in three cases. 
1. If current employee is assigned in a project task
2. If a task is added as "All employee task" of selected project.
3. If a task is added as "All Project Task"

Time Entry Day View With Total Time TimeLive standard time entry view is without start time and end time fields in time entry pages.  This mode is useful for organizations who just want to track total time spent on projects and tasks.

Time Entry Day View With Total Time TimeLive preferences option allow admin user to enable "Client" dropdown in time entry. Client dropdown make project selection easier in case of large number of projects assigned to users. 

Client dropdown can be enabled using option "Show Client In Timesheet" available in Admin options --> Preferences page.

Timesheet Approval
Timesheet Approval Approval types identify the individuals who will be approving users' timesheets and expenses. You can setup many different approver types, each of which will have a specific approval function within the approval path. TimeLive supports four types of approvers which can be configure at project level.
  1. Team Lead.
  2. Project Manager.
  3. Specific Employee (if you want your timesheet / expenses to be approved by some specific employee)
  4. Specific External User (if you want your timesheet / expenses to be approved by some specific external user (client)

Employee Home Page
Employee Home Page TimeLive employee dashboard view shows a high level overview of employee's tasks.  It shows following detail in employee home page.
  1. My tasks.
  2. My reported tasks.
  3. My task summary.
  4. Week timesheet summary.
Employee List
Employee List To provide an employee or other person access to TimeLive, you must add them as an Employee in TimeLive.  Typically an employee record should be created in TimeLive to allow that employee to enter perform their daily operations through timelive including task management, time entry, expense entry, project management etc. Here are the few high level features of employee management in timelive:
  • Add / edit / delete / disable of employees.
  • Encrypted employee's password in database.
  • Easily login using employee email address.
  • Can define history based employee billing rate.

Employee Information Employee information form provides ability of adding / updating employee records using very easy to use TimeLive administration options.  Employee information form is divided into three main sections.
  1. Employee personal section with personal detail, department, location etc.
  2. Employee login and password information.
  3. Billing rate section.
Project List
Project List TimeLive allows you to create an unlimited number of projects for users to log their time, expenses, and mileage against. The system uses a hierarchical tasks structure and allows unlimited levels of tasks under any parent project. The main Project screen serves as the master control panel for all project creation, modification, and deletion.

The Projects page provides a list of projects defined within TimeLive. Projects can be added, edited, or deleted from this page. The Project setup is divided into the following sections:
  • Project Information.
  • Team Lead / project manager information.
  • Billing type / billing rates.
  • Project Team

Project Information
Project Information Project information form provides administrators to define different project level properties during adding / editing of projects.  There are three types of fields available in project information page.

  • Project basic details like project code, name.
  • Client name / client department / client point of contact.
  • Selecting of team lead and project manager
  • Selecting of types of approval process
  • Selecting of billing rate options for this particular project.
Project Task List
Project Task List Projects can contain many tasks and up to ten hierarchical levels. Task is the main source of project time sheet. Time entry can only be entered for a task of any project. Administrator should create project task and assign them to project team in order to allow employees to enter time entry for that task.

Every task has their own status, priority, completed %, completed fields to monitor task progress for team collaboration purpose.

Every task has two fields Estimated Cost and Estimated Time spent for budgeting purpose.

Project manager can categorize their project tasks in different milestones (phases) for easier monitoring of individual milestones (phases) and then at project at root level.
Project Task Information
Project Task Information Task information form allows users to add / edit tasks in TimeLive.  Task information gets these information of a task.

  • Task name, parent task, task type, task description.
  • Start date, deadline, milestone.
  • Billable / non-billable.
  • Employee's selection listbox through which you can assign employees in this task.
  • All employee task (If you want to assign this task to all project team members).
  • Estimates cost and time.

Client List
Client List Clients are customers of your organization to whom you bill time or costs for projects. Clients can be external customers or departments within your organization. You should define your clients before setting up projects to eliminate the need to go back and assign the projects to the appropriate client.

Clients page allow administrators to add / edit / delete / disable clients.  Client page also provide option for creating client contacts and departments.
Client Information
Client Information Client information form allows administrators to add / edit client information.  Client information form get following type of information.

  • Client name
  • General client contact information.
Admin Option
Admin Option Admin options page allow administrator to setup and customize whole TimeLive accessibility, security, billing preferences, application preferences, email alert preferences and other different master data.

Preferences Application preferences page allow administrator to setup different timesheet and other application related preferences.

Employee Attendance
Employee Attendance Attendance is punch in / punch out of employees in order to track actual physical availability on work. Employee attendance and time entry are two different options to track two different things.

  • Time entry record is an employee activity on a project for a particular duration. This is useful for calculating employee actual employee time spent on project task.
  • Attendance is something an attendance record of employee. Time In represents time when employee enters an organization and Time Out represents when employee finishes his day work.

Expense Entry
Expense Entry An expense is cost incurred from work-related tasks and/or purchases (travel, meals, office supplies, etc.). Expenses may be non-billable or billable, the latter applying to expenses for a project funded by a specific client.

Users complete and submit their expense sheets to team lead, project manager, and/or clients for approval. The expense sheets are then reviewed and either approved or rejected. When the expense sheet is approved, the expense information is saved to the database.

Once an expense sheet is submitted, the data can be analyzed by project leaders and administrator to determine project costs and client billing.
