It is not that difficult to flawlessly finish our work if only we perform it with a dedication (which, on the other hand, is considerably hard to get :P) When the task is uninteresting, we tend to lack motivation. Not only this, the task can be merely repulsive. The work becomes a challenging then and what we require is the effective time management.
What we require then is the apt attitude. If you have the character that focuses on the present moment, it may be pretty hard for you to start the tiresome work. People with a certain personality have it much simpler because they can already presume the results, as well as the fulfillment that the complete task will bring. Even the most monotonous action can be done if we assume positive consequences.
The active approach towards our work.
The effective approach marks people who are focused on the prospect and are coping very well with challenging or tedious tasks and projects. Such an approach enables one to take charge of his or her work, and not the other way around. If our work constrains us, we become more and more inactive, doleful, unenergetic. The active approach is a must if we wish to attain success in the business when ‘fun’ is the word used rather infrequently.
There are six main rules that people with an active approach and unobstructed view use. Today, we’re going to present three out of the six but worry not! The next three will discuss soon.
If the discussion is disrupted, the outcomes are usually painful. When we don’t communicate properly, we just waste time. For instance, our worker may misinterpret our intentions and, in the most unfavorable case, do the reverse of what we expect of him/her.
Always dedicate a little bit to ensure that everyone conceded your instructions. This way, you will evade needless misinterpretations and minimize the odds of the workflow being disrupted. Always keep in mind some simple things:
Firstly, make sure that you know what others expect from you. If the directions are even imperceptibly unclear, do not be hesitant to ask again. It’s better safe than sorry!
When the case has the highest priority, you have to get written confirmation. For instance, if you’re planning an important conference, send an email to those that you are planning to meet with to get a confirmation of their presence.
The other way around – if you’re the one who’s invited to the meeting, at least a day before sending an email that confirms your presence.
You’re liable for your way of communication! If the task you commissioned has been performed wrong, you’re plausibly the one to be indicted. Give clear directions!
Discipline is in all plausibility the most significant feature of the person who learned his or her time management. No wonder here. Motivation? Yeah, why not. Positive attitude? Surely. But discipline is the key factor, the “one to rule them all.” Being disciplined implies that you always remember the most important tasks, that you keep up with your daily, weekly, and monthly to-do list, and that you don’t let anything distract you.
Discipline is more about performing the easy tasks that you wouldn’t like to do at the given time, than doing the tough, exhausting job.
A lot of individuals say: “but I have the worst memory,” while in fact, it is not right. You just have a terrible approach.
We all forget things. That is a reality that cannot be dismissed. People tend to forget their kids’ names or confuse them with one another. The fact is that our memory is working just fine. Maybe sometimes it just requires a bit of practice. Concentrate on the most significant things and try to imitate them every once in a while, if you have difficulty remembering them.
